240

Our first day back home. It was a whirlwind of unpacking and catching up on work and personal responsibilities. We hit the ground running and have yet to stop!

I have at least two important news items to share with you all:

1. We spent the last week or so in Martha's Vineyard. There's a lot more I'll probably tell you about that in the coming days. But for now, at least you'll know if your guesses were right!

2. My lovely wife has decided to adopt an LC diet to help her lose some weight and improve her health! I'm so happy about this and even more proud of her! This wasn't an easy decision and one that took much time and consideration. I can't wait to see all the benefits she'll undoubtedly find while on this journey. Please join me in welcoming and supporting her to the fullest. I'm sure you'll come to love and appreciate her ... just like I do. Well, almost like I do. ;-)

BTW, my angel may jump in and provide some content on this blog as well. She might occasionally (or often) post her menus alongside mine. Who knows, she could even decide to start up a blog of her own. Only time will tell. :-)

I am so glad you got back safe and sound, and had a wonderful time as well. All the way across America for you!
And YAY for your wife's decision to go LC. She might find, like many of us have found, that LC is not the "horrible monster" we were told it was.

That's great news about Mrs Harry! I look forward to hearing more from her and seeing how she goes with the transition soon :)

I guessed right. :) The lighthouse gave it away. I was on Cape Cod in May but didn't make it to Martha's Vineyard. Maybe next time. I loved P-town and would love to go back there someday.

Good news on your wife joining this low-carb adventure.

My friend gave me some tomatoes from her garden so I made a BLT by wrapping everything up in some large lettuce leaves. Yum!

Harry - thanks for your comment on my blog. It's really nice to know that there are other people out there that struggle with, or have struggled with, binge eating. It feels so shameful, so I really appreciate your sharing.

The lighthouse pic gave it away. Google images helped to find just the right one to compare. :) What a great vacation. Hope you had the time of your lives and memories to keep for always.

Welcome Mrs. JP, I can't wait to hear about your LC adventures ... you'll find lots of support and great ideas with this group of innovative bloggers.

Happy you are both back!

Thanks, Anne!

It's good to be back. Dorothy was right.

My wife has had some previous exposure to LC dieting so I think she'll be okay. The fact that I'm living this way will hopefully also help.

A new adventure begins. :-)

Thanks, Erika!

I'll make sure she sees your comment!

Good on you, Jade! I wish I had a prize to give you! :-)

There's no replacement for fresh tomatoes. Mmmm. Your LC version of a BLT sounds great.

Thanks for your encouragement with regard to my lovely lady. I'll make sure she sees it!

You bet, Amy. :-)

I've gone from starving myself (anorexia nervosa) to binge eating and everything in between.

About a year ago, I couldn't imagine not using food as a coping tool. But, due to the support of my on and offline family and friends, keeping up with this blog and taking things on a day-by-day basis ... I've accomplished just that.

I hope to do my little part to help you find that same level of transformation or greater!

Keep on doing the good things you're doing. As time goes on, it will likely become easier and more rewarding. And make sure to pat yourself on the back from time to time. You're doing something good for yourself and for those that you affect.

Nice detective work, Oct! :-)

My wife is currently working feverishly on a project but I'll make sure that she sees your kind, welcoming remarks!

Good to be back with y'all!
