215

Apparently it's Sausage Day in Wowee Zowee World. I ended up having two different kinds of sausages for all three meals. It just seemed to work out that way - not really planned.

Quick Note:
I was asked about my weight a few days ago. I weighed myself on Tuesday and I rang in at 182.3 lbs. My self-appointed goal weight is 180. Almost there.

Update (
10:05 pm): Felt the impulse to overeat tonight. Didn't do it though. A small victory. Funny how slipping up and binging would make me feel just awful (at least afterward) but convincing myself not to do it really doesn't feel the opposite of that. It just feels less bad.

wow, so close, you have to do a before & after inspiration photo!

I love those lamb sausages from whole foods, we have tried every variety that they have. I also am very fond of their different hamburger patties. My favorite is cheddar/bacon hamburger patty.

(:

I'll do a "before and after" in the coming weeks, Sadekat. :-)

We like the WF burgers too. Have you ever tried stuffing your patties (putting any kind of cheese in the center of them)? That works out pretty well too. Delicious!

Hope you have a fantastic weekend!

I AGREE BRAVO!!!!!

You must be on cloud nine. I would also like to see the transformation in before and after photos. Plaster them up on all low carber boards to show people how its done!!!! Im really interested seeing how your transition into maintenance too. Will experiment adding back some food groups now that you have your portions so controlled or will you strictly continue eating like now but making sure you dont continue to lose by adding more?

I shall post the pics, Deborah!

We'll be heading out for a mini-vacation soon. By that time, I hope to be at my goal weight and we'll snap some photos while "on location". :-)

My plan is to basically keep on eating like I have been but to slowly start to add back more nutrient-dense foods that are also a bit higher in carbs: berries, cantaloupe, red wine, etc.

I'll also make the occasional "exception" and enjoy non-LC foods on special occasions (holidays, vacations, etc.). But the difference this time will be that I'll just try a little bit of these decadent foods and not feast on them - like I used to.

Then I'll make modifications based on how my body reacts to these changes. The key, I think, is to stick to a relatively LC plan and simply incorporate in a little added flexibility. I really do believe that a lower carb diet is healthier for me and for most people.

It should be interesting.

Thanks for asking and for your support. :-)
