I keep seeing Avocados in the store and I always think of you.
I've never had one.
What does it taste like? I actually bought one here awhile back but it went bad before I ate it. I really didn't know what to do with it..LOL

I'll take that as a compliment. :-)

Avocados are really creamy and pretty mild tasting. I'm not sure how to compare them, taste-wise, to other foods.

One of our favorite ways of eating it is as "guacamole". We simply mash a ripe avocado with a fork and add the following: minced shallot (or onion), a little lemon or lime juice, sea salt and red pepper flakes (or spicy salsa).

It goes great with all kinds of dishes - whether they're spicy (like pork al pastor) or rather mild (like poached salmon).

Avocado slices wrapped in prosciutto is also really delicious. :-)

mmmm.....your lunch looks fab. I'm going to buy the ingredients for it next time I"m at the store. ....maybe I need to go to the store TODAY!

Wish avocado didn't make me sick as they would be a perfect food for this Dr. K WOE. Oh well....plenty of other good foods to eat.

Thanks for the ideas, Harry. You've got great ones.
