Jalapeno Poppers with Spicy Chipotle Sauce

Pork al Pastor with Spicy Guacamole

We're going to a friend's house to celebrate Easter. The meet time is around 10:00 am.

I'm having something to eat/drink prior to going because I think it may be a "bagel and cream cheese" kind of get together. It's possible that there will be some smoked salmon hanging around but I can't/shouldn't count on it. Better to plan ahead and be well fed than sorry.

I hope you all have a blessed Easter and Passover. :-)

Update: There wasn't any smoked salmon but there was some roasted turkey. That worked out just fine. It was juicy and delicious. Yay!

7:45 am

+ The Wowee Zowee Meal Replacement Shake (Version 2.0) - 3 oz of organic heavy cream, 3 oz of purified water, 2 scoops of natural vanilla whey protein powder, 1 scoop of Orac Energy Greens, 1 tsp of organic instant coffee, a pinch of pure stevia, and 1/4 tsp of Also Salt)

10:45 am

+ dark meat turkey with skin

+ 1 tbsp. of spicy mustard

2:00 pm (pictured above)

+ Whole Foods Market pork al pastor

+ homemade organic, spicy guacamole

5:30 pm

+ a large mug of ChocoCoffee

+ 1 tbsp. of organic coconut oil

8:15 pm (pictured above)

+ homemade Jalapeno Poppers

More to come ... I hope!

Happy Easter to you and your lovely wife! I am starting posting starting today or tomorrow. I think I have reached a mental place where I feel confident in starting back.

Thanks, Oct. I hope you and Cro have a wonderful holiday as well.

The Easter brunch turned out "purrfectly" - company-wise and food wise. :-)

I love your food pictures. it makes me crave eating clean. You need to open up a low carb boot camp Mr Harry! You live in Southern california, you eat delicious and healthy low carb meals and now you are working out. what else do you need to be a low carb officiando! I will be your first participant, hopefully you will give me some discount for being an old friend. You are indeed carrying a torch around here. Good job! BTW, there are no low carb retreats in the contry, just a hint! May be you can parthner with Dr Eades, I can put a word out there, you never know! I have his telephone number now. I called him once, he couldnt be any nicer. But its my little secret. I am not sharing his phone but i can share ideas with him.

You're too much, Vadim! Ha! :-)

If we ever get that boot camp up and running ... I know who we'd want as our head drill sergeant!

Thanks for raising my spirits and bring a smile to my face. :-)

Good day, JLK.

Here's a link that describes how to make the Jalapeno Poppers. You can play around with the ingredients in whatever way you like. For instance, this last time we added a spicy chipotle salsa on top (the red part of yesterdays picture).

I'm happy that you enjoyed the Zizza. I hope you'll find the Jalapeno Poppers to be just as satisfying as we do!
