Spicy Bangers and Mash

Pepperoni Zizza

I'm making Pepperoni Zizza as I type this. That's pizza made with a zucchini "crust". I was able to pick up some all-natural (nitrate-free) pepperoni at the health food store this past week.

I hope it'll be even more delicious and satisfying than last Saturday's version that didn't include the pepperoni. I'll let y'all know. :-)

Update: The pepperoni Zizza was outstanding! Even better with the pepperoni - no big surprise there, right?! ;-)

10:15 am

+ The Wowee Zowee Meal Replacement Shake (Version 2.0) - 3 oz of organic heavy cream, 3 oz of purified water, 2 scoops of natural vanilla whey protein powder, 1 scoop of Orac Energy Greens, 1 tsp of organic instant coffee, a pinch of pure stevia, and 1/4 tsp of Also Salt)

1:15 pm (pictured above)

+ Italian sausage and homemade mashed cauliflower with red pepper flakes

3:15 pm

+ a large mug of ChocoCoffee

+ 1 tbsp of organic coconut oil

7:00 pm (pictured above)

+ Pepperoni Zizza! Made with pan-fried organic zucchini slices (in organic olive oil), organic mushroom sauce, natural pepperoni, three cheese Italian blend, sea salt and red pepper flakes.

More to come ... I hope!

Ok, I'm gonna have to try that zizza. It looks wonderful.
You Pan fry the zucchini first then lay it out with toppings and bake?

Thanks, Sybil! It really was very satisfying. It's like eating actual pizza - even the consistency was pretty darned close. :-)

I'll absolutely come check out your resurrected menu blog. Thanks for letting me know. :-)

You got it, Jo!

Pan-fry and salt the zucchini slices - until golden on both sides. Add the toppings and place under the broiler until the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned. Keep a close eye on them though ... they're usually done within several minutes!
