I tried to remember a quote for yesterday's blog entry and couldn't. It came to me this morning as I was typing a response to a comment by Oct.

"Don't think of your mistakes as failures. Think of them as bad examples."

Every triumph and stumble has the potential to inform and support others.

And you are an example of a good example!

I hope that's true, Anne.

I feel the same about you! :-)

That's really true, and for me whenever I failed I allowed the failure to make me quit my program.

It wasn't until I finally learned to start each minute anew that I succeeded.

Thanks for this reminder.

Well that was timely. I certainly needed to hear this.

Danke Schön, Harry/JP!
I can use umlauts now thanks to Anne H. for cracking the code!

I can relate to that, Diane. In fact, I write about it in tonight's Healthy Fellow column about "Internet Weight Loss".

I'm happy to know that you found a system that works for you.

Thank you for sharing that!

Thanks, Oct!

They're borrowed words but hopefully I didn't mangle them too badly. I think I swiped them from Dr. Bernie Siegel's wife, Barbara. I saw them speak at a holistic convention many moons ago.

I'm happy I could return the favor, Fit. Your blog entries often get me thinking!

Way to go, Anne! :-)

Someone once told me about how Thomas Edison tried thousands of times before perfecting the lightbulb. They asked him about his "failures" and he commented that they were just learning one more way how *NOT* to build a lightbulb.

I've heard that Edison anecdote too, Alan.

Thanks for reminding me/us of it!

It's also my middle name, Anne. My parents were goofy like that. :-)
