일 15

It's Saturday and I'm working from home. I've recently started a new project. It involves writing about natural health on the Internet. This has been an interest of mine for many years and I've dabbled in and around the natural health industry for most of life - both professionally and personally.

The two things I've always been drawn too are a) films and b) alternative medicine. I've had the good fortune of having the opportunity to work in both fields. But, I'd always hoped to find a way to be able to do both things at once. In the past, I've had limited success in marrying these two interests. But, for whatever reason, an opportunity recently presented itself and I took it.

So now I find myself trying to manage two Internet projects. This is a big change. And it's quite a bit of work. But, I think that's part of what's helped me to stay on a healthier path. I just don't have the time to mess around with unimportant things anymore. Less TV. Less unfocused Internet surfing. A lot less daydreaming. A lot more living.

I want to thank you all for your part in this new life. Reading your blogs and seeing your effort and your struggles helps me to try to be strong. Knowing that some of you are reading what I write and are interested in my choices and my successes and failures also helps to keep me going.

As part of my on-going commitment to change for the better, I plan on taking a walk this afternoon. The weather here is beyond beautiful. It's in the low-70's, if you can believe it! We call this Winter here in Southern California.

I think that's all for now. Y'all be well.

Ok Harry, I am not going to let you skip that walk. You said you are in SoCa, which means you are in the same time zone as me. Which means you still have time to go for that walk, unless you really have other commitments, of course.

:o) I mentioned you in my VLOG today!

Thanks for the push, Sadekat. :)

I'll going to try and make it to my local gym and hit the treadmill.

It got too late to have a walk out in the sun. But, I'll likely get a more intense workout in the gym anyhow.

I'll report back, one way or another, as to whether I actually get there.

I'll check out your VLOG later!

Hey Harry,
Great job on taking that walk. 70 degrees is beautiful. It's 14 degrees F. here. Wind is whipping around. Our old house is chilly tonight.
Hang in there. Your doing great.

I love reading your and Sadekat blog. Always look forward to reading them. As afar as walking goes, I love it as long as I am not doing it alone. I usually take a long walks with my German Shephar which can be fun at times until he sees another dog especvially female. Then its no so much fun! Then walking becomes running and running becomes weight training while rnning trying to hold 120 pounds of muscle from only God knows what he wants to do !

Thanks, NewVision. I am trying. :)

Thank you for pushing me to do it, Sadekat. I probably wouldn't have done it without you!

I do feel better for having done it. It's the doing part that's tough.

Now, the goal will be to walk on a regular basis. This is a start.

Thanks, again. :)

Hey, after all this time I just noticed that you are not using a lot of fluid in your shake. for some reasons I thought you were using 4 oz of milk to save carbs, but it was half and half! How does it taste? Is it too thick or you like it creamy and thick?

Howdy, Vadim.

When our schedules cooperate, I like to go walking with my wife. It's a lot more fun and I know we're both doing something positive ... together.

Tonight, I just went to the local gym by myself and hopped on the treadmill. It wasn't so bad. I just tried to focus on why I was there. To get healthy.

I'm happy that I went ... now that it's done!

re: the amount of liquid per shake

I only use 4 oz of half-and-half because it keeps the carbs lower and still provides plenty of fat. Also, it keeps the cost down a little.

The taste is actually really good. Personally, I like the taste better than when I've tried it with milk.

Hey, Harry!

Menu looks great!

It snowed today and the deep freeze is moving in. I still went for a walk and then to the gym.

Keep up the good work!

Thanks for stopping by and for your kind words, Lora.

Good on you for exercising no matter what! You're setting a great example for the rest of us!

I'm heading to your blog later in the day. Look out for some comments!
