Today is a work-at-the-office-day. Earlier to start ... possibly earlier to retire.
I didn't sleep nearly enough last night. That's something else I really need to work on. Sleep is vital for good health and weight-loss/diet management.
The thing this experiment is reminding me of is this: The toughest part of sticking to a diet/lifestyle is simply living consciously. In other words, I have to really think about, plan and analyze my daily nutrition. I find this to be quite arduous. Day in and day out. But, I know it's necessary and probably character-building.

Day 4 looks excellent, and right on! I need to get some sleep as well. Working on getting to get the cacao so i can start enjoying the hot cofee cacao in the morning. is that me or was it day 4 in russian?
Thanks, Vadim.
It's not just you. That is indeed "Day 4" in Russian. At least, according to Babelfish. :)

I hope your day of blogging has gone well. I'll be over to check it out soon.
Hi Harry,
I think you're spot on about the conscious thing.
So, what is a work-at-the-office day? I thought all we did in the office was work?? ;)
Figured it was Russian too - only because of the characters though. Is there a good translator the other direction? I've got a couple of cool Russian hip hop CDs I picked up while o/s and I can't type those characters into a search engine to find anything more. Help?
Aloha, Erika.
Work at work? That's an interesting concept. ;-)
Not sure about the Russian character to English translator.
The "external links", at the bottom of this Wiki-page, may be pieces to that puzzle?

The wine's kicking in. I hope this makes sense when I read it in the morning. :-)
Harry, I like the idea odf rolled turkey with sour cream and sauteddbrocoli. It sounds something I need to keep in mind for those days on the run. It is very easy to do and can be easily stackable too! Whats the wine you are drinking? I mean whats your favorite one?
Good day, Vadim.
I love practical food. It's got to taste fairly decent too but ... it needs to be easy to make, take and eat. I always try to keep foods like that on hand.
Keep in mind that you can put any low-carb veggie in these "tacos". I sometimes use Roma tomatoes or avocado slices. The only limit is your imagination and the carb count. ;-)
Also, you can choose whatever "taco shell" you like best. Roast beef, ham, turkey, pastrami, etc.
I tend to look for natural sliced meats. Products that are low-to-no-carbs and that do not contain nitrates or other potentially harmful preservatives.
Off to start on today's blog ...
Catch up with you later!
One other note. You don't have to use sour cream either. Mayonnaise, cream cheese, tahini, hummus, spreadable herbed cheeses, mustard, etc.
Whatever tastes good to you.
Doh! I keep leaving things out of my replies! Sorry, Vadim!
To be honest, I drink a variety of inexpensive organic red wines. I enjoy all kinds - Merlot, Sirah, Cabernet Sauvignon.
The main thing for me is to derive the benefits from the wine. Most of the time, the flavor is still quite pleasant. But, I mostly just enjoy the mellowing effect of the wine and I hope that it's providing the many health benefits that I read about in the medical literature.
Generally speaking, I don't spend over $10 per bottle of wine. And, I make sure to look for "organic wines" only, as opposed to wines that contain "organically grown grapes".
"Organic Wines" is a specific description that ensures that sulfites aren't added to the wine. I prefer to avoid such preservatives.
Probably more information than you wanted to know. Sorry!
Thanks a lot! You are always so detailed and to the point in your responses. I really appreciate it. Thanks for the wine suggestion, I will definitely check in trader joe, that and cocoa.
Good point, Vadim. I've always found turkey a waste of time but with sour cream and sauted brocolli it might just be worth the effort! :)
I'm just catching up, Harry. I love sliced meat rolled around cream cheese, haven't thought of adding other veggies to it, what a great idea!
